About Us
At Reliance Health, we are passionate about serving the Central Coast and Cessnock communities. Our aim has always been to improve the quality and availability of medical care.
Operating for 10 years on the Central Coast with over 20 General Practitioners, providing a variety of professional services from our conveniently located practices in West Gosford and Wyong as well as our newly acquired practice in Bellbird. We are dedicated to providing exceptional medical care to our patients.
The Super Clinic at West Gosford incorporates an extensive range of Allied Health Practitioners offering chiropractic, dietician, exercise physiology, pathology, physiotherapy, podiatry and X-ray services as well as onsite access to the West Gosford Late Night Chemist, to ensure that your healthcare needs are easily accessible under one roof.
Our goal is to make it easy for you to take care of yourself and your family’s health, by providing a friendly, efficient and professional experience close to your home, with doctors you can trust.
We have purposefully partnered with General Practitioners from a diverse range of backgrounds, with a broad range of special interests, providing our patients with GPs that have an increased clinical understanding in the area that you require expertise.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve and upgrade our services so that we can continue being a pioneering provider of quality and affordable healthcare. Being on the forefront of innovative healthcare solutions, the latest available technology means we are constantly evolving our services to ensure you receive the best care possible.
Reliance Health is also involved in a number of local and global community initiatives, including supporting Coast Shelter, Central Coast Animal Care Facility, Hope for Children and we feed 75 children every day through non-profit Christian organisation Feed the Hungry. This organisation is dedicated to a vision of a world where people, and in particular children, no longer suffer crippling hunger, and we’re proud to support them.
Fee Information
The below fee structure applies to our Central Coast practices. Our practice in Bellbird will continue to bulk bill patients until further notice.
Reliance Medical Practice is a mixed billing practice. Our doctors only bulk bill consultations Monday-Friday 8am-6pm for:
- Children 15yrs and under
- Pension and Concession card holders
Babies not yet added to a Medicare card will be charged at the Medicare scheduled fee applicable to the appointment length. This means that when you claim back from Medicare, you will not be out of pocket.
All private patients pay a consultation fee, and if eligible for a rebate from Medicare this will be processed at the front desk. For fees processed using online payment, your claim will be processed within 3 business days on your behalf. If you would like to submit your claim directly with Medicare for faster approval you can do so by submitting the receipt through the Medicare app.
Higher fees apply for procedures and for forms to be completed that do not attract a Medicare rebate. A list of our practice fees is displayed at the reception desk.
A non-attendance fee equal to the gap amount applicable to your appointment applies for any appointment missed or cancelled without 2 hours notice. In most cases this would be $35 Mon-Fri 8am-6pm, or $50 for non-business hours.
Please note:
– Reliance “Non-business hours”, refers to any fee charged outside Monday-Friday 8am-6pm
– Medicare Rebateable item number considered “in hours” refers to fee’s charged:
- Between 8am-8pm weekdays
- Between 8am-1pm on Saturdays
– Medicare Rebateable item numbers considered “After hours”, refers to fee’s charged at any time not considered “in hours” including all public holidays.
The below table of fees applies to:
– Patients who cannot provide a valid Medicare card
– NEW patients seen via telehealth who are not eligible for rebate
– Any patient who is not eligible for Medicare rebate
